About the Cover
Cover: Mitochondrial network in a HeLa cell lacking the protein DRP1, which is involved in organellar fission. Cells were labelled with mitochondrial-matrix-targeted GFP. The network has large abnormal budding areas and long tubules with poor ramification. This unusual shape is associated with changes in organellar membrane properties and dysfunction of oxidative phosphorylation. See article by G. Benard et al. (pp. 838-848).
