About the Cover
2318
Cover: Surface renderings of a single chemotaxing Dictyostelium cell, made from confocal reconstructions at approximately 3-minute intervals. The radical shape changes of these moving cells lead to corresponding changes in surface area. It is proposed that surface area is regulated through control of the endocytic cycle, giving the endocytic cycle an essential role in cell motility. See article by D. Traynor and R. R. Kay (pp. 2318-2327).
