Movie 1. Loss of TbLC1 causes flagellar beat reversal and backward locomotion. Ten-second real-time movie captures of TbLC1 and trypanin mutant cells. Backward motility that results from reverse flagellar beat in TbLC1 mutants. Note that the cell is moving with the flagellum tip trailing.
Movie 2. The trypanin mutant cell used for still images in Fig. 3C and demonstrates that these mutants retain tip-to-base flagellar beat despite their tumbling phenotype.
