The motor neurones of the thoracic ganglia of adult Locusta migratoria have been studied by in situ histochemical techniques. Phospholipides and unsaturated cerebrosides are concentrated in the lipochondria; acetalphosphatides, cholesterol, protein, and ribonucleic acid are diffusely present throughout the cytoplasm; little nucleic acid is demonstrable in the nuclei.
