Proteins from different nuclear domains accumulate together at heterochromatin in an apparent ATRX-based complex during late S-phase. Signaling for this change is due to a shift in phosphorylation of the heterochromatin-based ATRX. This complex is resolved during G2 phase, when ATRX recruitment to ND10 is mediated by Daxx.
